Introducing Postrippl

Why I built another social scheduler, and a walkthrough of what came out: one composer, ten platforms, a calendar, and an AI agent.

Reading time

5 min

About 1 year ago, I started posting on X. While experimenting, I wanted to post at different times and started looking at how to do it.

During my exploration, I found many similar tools (Buffer, Postiz..) that do exactly the same, but I had some time available and wanted to see how the different social media platforms handle their APIs and so on.

Additionally, I wanted to explore a different kind of design for the app. A few weeks/months later, that’s how Postrippl was built.

I hope you like it!

What Postrippl does, and why

Postrippl takes one post and publishes it to every social network you use. You write it once, pick a time, and it goes out on its own. That's the whole product. And if you already work inside an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT, an agent can do even the clicking part for you. More on that next.

If you've ever copied the same caption into five apps at 9am, you already know why it exists.

There are established tools out there already, like Buffer and Postiz. They're good at what they do, and if you run an agency with approval chains and client reports, one of them is probably the better fit.

Postrippl is for the other group: solo founders, creators, and small brands who post to three or more networks and want the posting part of their week to take minutes, not an afternoon.

A scheduler should be a tool you trust for five minutes a week, not a dashboard you live in.

That belief shaped every screen. One composer instead of a workspace to configure. A calendar instead of queues and settings. Plain sentences instead of error codes. The app tries to do its job, stay out of the way, and let you get back to making the things people follow you for.

Let an AI agent post for you

This is the part people don't expect, so it comes before the tour.

More and more people do their thinking inside an AI assistant now. Ideas get drafted in Claude, plans get sketched in ChatGPT, and whole workflows start and end in a chat window. When that's where your post is born, copy-pasting it into a scheduler feels like a step backwards.

So Postrippl ships with an MCP server. MCP is the open standard assistants use to work with outside tools, so any assistant that speaks it can drive Postrippl directly. Claude, ChatGPT, whatever you already use. Plug it in and just ask: "Schedule this across my accounts for Monday morning." The agent checks your limits, creates the posts, and schedules them.

You write the ideas. The agent does the clicking.

Write once, publish everywhere

Postrippl works with ten platforms: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, X, Bluesky, and Discord.

Most of them connect the normal way. You click connect, log in, approve, and you're done. Two are a little different: Bluesky asks for an app password, and Discord uses a webhook. Both take about a minute, the app walks you through each step, and you can always add more accounts later.

Then there's one composer. You write your caption, drop in your images or video, and pick which accounts should get the post. Text-only posts work too.

Every platform has its own rules. How many images you can attach, how long a video can run, how many characters fit. You don't have to remember any of it. Postrippl checks your post against every platform you selected and tells you before you schedule, in plain words, if something won't fly.

Want a different caption on LinkedIn than on X? You can tweak the text per platform without writing the whole thing again.

Pick a time, then walk away

Type the time the way you'd say it. "Tomorrow at 9am" works. So does "next Friday at noon".

Everything you've scheduled sits on a calendar. If you change your mind, drag the post to another day and that's it, the schedule updates. You can plan days or weeks ahead, and there are sensible daily limits per platform so you can't accidentally spam your own audience.

If you like to batch your content, bulk mode lets you prepare a set of posts and schedule them all in one sitting. A week of content, one coffee.

At the time you picked, each platform gets your post. You don't need to have the app open. You don't need to be awake. When a platform rejects a post, and sometimes they do, you'll see the reason in plain words, not an error code. Fix the issue, hit retry, and move on.

What it doesn't do

Postrippl schedules and publishes. On purpose, it stops there:

  • No analytics dashboards. Every platform already has one, and theirs has the real numbers.
  • No inbox. Replies and DMs stay where your audience wrote them.
  • No silent media conversion. If a video doesn't meet a platform's rules, Postrippl tells you exactly why instead of re-encoding it behind your back.

If the missing piece for you is on that list, one of the bigger tools will serve you better. I'd rather tell you here than after you've signed up.
